Most wellness budget conversations start with what a program costs. This one starts from zero and asks what still works.
What the session covers
The first half is ten things a company can put in place without spending anything, each with the reason it works and separate instructions for in-person and remote teams: stretch and movement breaks, gratitude journaling, walking meetings, peer recognition, wellness challenges, mindfulness and meditation sessions, lunch and learns, a wellness channel in Slack or Teams, employee-led clubs, and a weekly power-down hour with no meetings and no messages.
The second half is the part that usually decides whether any of it survives contact with an actual workplace. Leadership buy-in. Employees who have seen wellness initiatives come and go. A workforce whose people want different things. Technology limits, privacy concerns, and the problem of finding room in a workday that is already full. The session closes on the three signs it is time to bring in a partner, one of which is simply that you cannot tell what is working.
Anyone who wants the templates rather than the talk can start with our free wellness program toolkit, which is the same set of no-cost resources in ready-to-send form.
